Never drive too fast again with ISA cars

Oops, yet another fine. Do you sometimes unconsciously drive too fast? This will no longer be necessary in the future. With the 'intelligent speed assistance' (ISA) in your car, you can drive comfortably and without worrying about unconscious speeding violations. From 2024, ISA will be mandatory in all vehicles. To ensure that this system works optimally, there are practical tests on ISA cars.

Isa-proof

For a properly functioning ISA, not only the technology in the car must work, the speed signs and digital speed cards must also be in good order. We are very curious to what extent we are already ISA-proof. That is why tests have been conducted on a number of roads in Eindhoven, Helmond and Tilburg since September 2022 to see how well the systems work. This happens, among other things, at school zones, 30 km roads and approach roads.

Joint testing is important

Many parties in different roles are needed to carry out this practical test. This is important because the entire chain must be in order. The practical test is being realized in collaboration by the Province of Overijssel, the Municipality of Eindhoven, the Municipality of Enschede, the Municipality of Borne, the Municipality of Helmond, the Municipality of Tilburg, National Road Traffic Data Portal/National Road Database, Brainport Bereikbaar, SmartwayZ.NL, V-Tron BV, HR Group Streetcare, VIA Traffic Solutions Software, Eindhoven University of Technology, Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences and CROW.
