Public transport trial campaign for BZOB employees: get to know public transport for free
Published on March 19, 2025Employees at the BZOB business park are given the opportunity to try out public transport for free. In collaboration with the Helmond Business Parks Foundation, the municipality of Helmond and employers, Brainport Bereikbaar is offering a public transport trial campaign. This allows employees of participating companies to easily and free of charge get to know public transport to BZOB.
Since the introduction of the new bus stop on the BZOB business park on the Heibloemweg, the use of bus line 320 has been growing steadily. Research shows that in the first two months, the number of passengers taking the bus to BZOB per day is higher than at other bus stops that are opened at work locations. More than a third of the new passengers have traded in their cars for public transport. With this public transport trial campaign, the initiators want even more employees to experience how practical and relaxing travelling by public transport is. An added bonus: shared bicycles are available at the bus stop for the last part of the journey to work.
Working together to improve accessibility
The new bus stop makes travelling by public transport from Asten, Deurne, Eindhoven, Helmond, Someren and surrounding train stations an excellent alternative. This contributes to a more sustainable and accessible working environment at BZOB. By having more employees use public transport, traffic pressure is also reduced and CO₂ emissions are lowered.
The public transport trial campaign is an initiative of the Helmond Business Parks Foundation (SBH), the municipality of Helmond and Brainport Bereikbaar.
